Branch Out | Citrus Science Workshop inspired by Seeds of Exchange: Canton and London in the 1700s
This workshop is part of the Garden Museum’s Branch Out programme, a series of free events and activities exploring gardening, art, floristry, plant science, history, design, and more!
Join the Garden Museum’s wonderful Plant Science Educator, Samia Qureshi for an exploration of citrus inspired by the exhibition Seeds of Exchange: Canton and London in the 1700s. This interactive workshop invites you to taste and compare a variety of citrus fruits while uncovering the science behind their flavours and sugar content. We’ll trace the global journeys of these fruits through trade history and take a close look under the microscope at our own citrus trees in the museum after visiting the exhibition.
