Botanical Embroidery Workshop & Book Celebration with Katerina Knight

Join English writer and artist Katerina Knight for an evening in celebration of her debut Stitching With Nature - Creating Material Magic With the Natural World.

Following a presentation from Katerina, attendees will be invited to partake in a botanical embroidery activity, guided by Katerina – using homegrown flowers from her allotment in Malvern, harvested and carefully dried and preserved – you will create a small stitched keepsake to take home.

Browse a selection of Katerina’s artwork and embroidered textile samples, and learn more about her alternative materials in her “Library of Plant Embellishments.” Or take a moment of pause in the reading nook where you can discover Katerina’s debut book Stitching With Nature, alongside a curated collection of Katerina’s favourite horticultural and nature craft books.

All of this will be enjoyed over selection of soothing herbal teas and sweet, floral culinary delights - inspired by the plants referenced in the book. With music and visuals setting the scene, the event promises to transport you to a summers’ evening filled with nature, as we shift into the winter season ahead.

Promoting community and conscious growing is at the heart of this event, you are encouraged to bring along seeds to take part in a seed swap.

*You will be able to purchase a signed copy of Katerina’s book from the Garden Museum giftshop on the evening of the event.

Stitching with Nature: Creating material magic with the natural world by Katerina Knight is published by Batsford, 1 October 2026.
